Pinnacle Students Participate in Self-Defense Class

Students-011bthumbThis past September, a free informational/introductory women’s self defense class was held at the Central Lutheran Church in Old Towne Casa Grande. Pinnacle Education students were invited to participate in the class and the teachers and staff made it a priority for the female students to be given the opportunity to attend. The class taught basic self defense techniques and provided an interactive practice. Dr. Sue Riese, who is a Black Belt in Chinese Kenpo Karate and is a certified Rape Prevention Instructor through the American Self Defense Association, was the lead instructor for the course. Throughout the class, those in attendance received training and hands-on instruction from Dr. Riese as she explained how to properly defend yourself and stay safe. Several staff members from our Casa Grande campus also chaperoned the event as a few Pinnacle students took in the class.
